The Brits are at it again

I don't see the conversation going anywhere but circles. We're both making the same counterarguments over and over.

My point is that the protestants in the north would not be welcome in a united Ireland, regardless of whether 'British' protestants exist in the south or not. I do not want to tempt fate and stay to find out. You mention that I only have to fear loyalist violence, but you fail to entertain the prospect that there could also be republican violence against loyalists in retaliation. You also completely ignored my point about protestants driven out of their homes as a 'victim card' - says it all that you don't really care about that facet of history as it doesn't fit your personal narrative.

Also worthy to note that a good amount of the people on the southern side don't view us as Irish, so I don't know how you think we'd be welcome as equal citizens. Ever see the amount of 'brits out' comments on here when discussion of a united Ireland comes up?

This discussion sn't going anywhere, and I don't think there is a compromise we can agree on.
