I have debated this in a previous thread, and would love to hear it if your argument holds any water.

Tell me exactly what US involvement caused Venezuela to turn into the shitfuck hole it is today. Let me establish some ground rules:

No Illuminati/crab people conspiracies. It has to be proven.

Has to be prior to 2009, the year most experts agree Venezuela started going down the drain. If you have credible reason to move the date forward or backward, please explain why.

It needs to affect Venezuela in a real, tangible way, like the blockade against Cuba, or sanctions against Iran. Stuff like "the US propaganda made other countries lose their trust in Venezuela" doesn't fly.
