I cannot help you with any details. I'm an older vet who went back to school at an advanced age. I earned my AAS in Accounting from my local community college Summer of 2017. I'll be completing my AS in accounting from Park University this December. Park is a private, non-profit school but they are regionally accredited. They are very military friendly. I'd say at least 70% of my classes are made up of current active duty, veterans or dependents.

The university is located near Kansas City, MO but have satellite campuses throughout the country, including on several military bases. Classes are also available online.

Before choosing Park University, I was also checking out Penn State. They have an online program called their World Campus. Penn State has much better name recognition, but it considerably more expensive.

I had the pre-911 Montgomery GI Bill, which I let lapse without using. Wish I could help you with details on using your benefits.
