BTK was one of the sickest of all sick fucks.

Whenever I meet someone who seems to be really into controlling others, I always assume that there's some extraordinarily twisted stuff going on in their head beneath the surface. This guy liked using his small modicum of authority to jerk peoole around and nitpick about grass height and shit, and turns out he was a twisted mutant. It speaks volumes that he stopped killing for years when be was working as a code enforcement officer - it demonstrates that his homicidal urges all related back to a need to control others.

One thing I never got - if the only way someone can really get off sexually is by torturing people to death, why even be sexual in the first place? It's so selfish. Ditto for pedophiles. I guess as someone who's always had a low sex drive, I have trouble relating to people who can't keep their sexual urges in check.
