BTS can surely headline the Super Bowl halftime show but it's still risky

This has nothing to do with who plays SB half-time, absolutely nothing.

Let's take a look at the performers since 2010 (not an arbitrary date, my point is well proved within this time frame or before), shall we?

The Who

Black Eyed Peas

Madonna

Beyonce

Bruno Mars

Katy Perry

Coldplay

Lady Gaga

Justin Timberlake

Maroon 5

Shakira/Jennifer Lopez

The Weeknd

Eminem/Dr. Dre/Snoop Dogg/Mary J. Blige/Kendrick Lamar

Like, 75% of those acts aren't anywhere to be found in dude bro culture, they just aren't.

The Super Bowl oscillates between ancient, well known performers and whoever is hot at the moment. They either go with someone that is partially mummified or whomever that committee looks at and says "the kids are talking about this person/people".

BTS would never be booed at the actual show. Social media would be exactly as divisive as you can imagine but they wouldn't be treated poorly by the home crowd. Hell, BTS wouldn't even be the first boy band to perform (NSYNC).
