BTS World Tour Love Yourself cinema showing

TL (way TL);DR - Overall great fun, some less-than-considerate people, one super-cute RM stan, one scared theater employee. Just happy Bangtan got shown in my town. Also, I’m old.

I went with my nearly-eighteen (tomorrow!) and twenty year old kids, and we had a really good time. When we saw Burn The Stage, only a handful of people were there. Yesterday it was pretty full, but still empty enough that I had two seats between myself and the people next to me.

It was pretty rambunctious, but it was still fun. I was thrilled that in our podunk town there were plenty of ARMY. I felt really old though, because a lot of them were tweens and I’m almost 47. I was pretty annoyed at the ARMY bombs, especially since the light kept reflecting off the edge of my glasses and blinding me. I had to keep my hood on to be able to see, and try to tuck it behind my ears to hear.

The girl two seats over from me was clearly RM-biased, and every time he’d come on screen, she’d lean forward and just ogle with her jaw practically on the floor, hahaha. It was so adorable and funny that I kept looking over at her. It just made me happy for some reason. Too cute.

Unfortunately the screams were bad enough that a theater employee thought that there was a shooting and she was practically in tears. (She stopped and talked to us afterward while we were waiting for my other daughter to get out of the restroom.) That poor girl. :( Thank goodness no one called the police. It had to have disturbed anyone in adjoining theaters too. Not a good look. It was still far better than regular movie showings, which I’ve stopped attending almost entirely because people here behave as if they were raised in a barn.
