[Bubble Guppies] The Story of a Post-Apocalyptic Holocaust.

"Watching countless hours of Bubble Guppies with my sister has led me to some interesting conclusions. The first thing that struck me as odd was the character Nonny. He shows an overall lack of emotion, plus he wears goggles unlike the other guppies. Many theories claim his behavior is due to the fact that he might have autism, but in this theory I've determined a more unsettling answer. Nonny's other defining characteristic is also the basis of this theory.

My first question was why he even needs goggles in the first place because he lives UNDERWATER. This made me think about why we humans wear them. We need goggles to help us see underwater because our eyes evolved to see on land. However, this raises the question of why Nonny's eyes can't see underwater if he is a mer-person. Clearly the other guppies possess the ability to, so why can't Nonny? This is because evolution takes time to affect an entire population. I propose that after years of polluting the air with greenhouse gasses, humans were forced to evolve into mer-people to keep up with the rising sea levels. This would explain why many animals we see in the show have find instead of legs. That just leaves one question, where are the other mer-people?

Besides the bubble guppies, the only other characters we are shown are fish, lobsters, and other animals. It's very likely that when humans moved into the oceans that the lobsters didn't like them encroaching on their territory. Obviously the lobsters knew that they couldn't attack the mer-people head on, so they devised plans to kidnap and kill them off in secret. It's likely that Nonny is a survivor of one of these attacks and was traumatized at a young age. This would explain why the guppies have no parents, but why is there such an abundance of lobsters in this world instead of fish? This is likely because the fish were helping the mer-people escape the lobsters. This makes sense because the only fish we see are always with the guppies, probably protecting them. There might also be another explanation for all of the lobsters we see. One of the lobster's primary predators is the squid, so if hypothetically all of the squids were to leave the ocean, the crab and lobster population would flourish. Could Bubble Guppies and Splatoon take place in the same universe?"
