『Buddy Daddies』 PV 2 (Jan 2023)

I couldn't agree more. Romance in anime is so full of tropes. It's nice when an anime/story doesn't use the same played out tropes all the time. Between love triangles, frustratingly annoying misunderstandings, lack of communication, etc, it makes me lose interest very quickly.

There have been a few anime recently that I enjoyed that weren't full of those tropes. Tonikawa, Dress Up Darling and Horimiya are good ones.

We also need more Yaoi/Yuri anime that isn't trashy crap. I'm looking forward to I'm In Love With The Villainess. That one seems like it won't be trashy, hopefully. But like you said, if it's stuff just to make yaoi fans squeal, then i probably will not enjoy it.
