A buddy nerd-sniped me, so I spent all evening "fixing" the U.S. Constitution.

I took issue with it because it didn't really come off as a worldbuilding exercise. Political sensitivities were fortunately not an issue here, no worries about that. But reading the thread, it did come off as more of a contemporary political discussion for real life than a worldbuilding exercise. I read through the link as well, which did explicitly state this was not a call for real-life reform, but the topic itself is still both too broad and not obviously related to worldbuilding.

If you would like to repost it as a question with more specific parameters as a creative exercise, that's totally fine, and completely welcomed. An example-- not the one you have to use, and may not be relevant to your needs, but just an example-- would be something like "in an alternate timeline, the US constitution was written this way. How does this affect (specific historical event)?" You could also ask, "If you were going to rewrite the US constitution for an alternate universe/timeline, what would you change?" or a lore post like "It's the year 2299, the US constitution has been rewritten. Here's what happens..."

In short, we like questions that are very clearly about worldbuilding or a world you're working on, and is somewhat specific. Your question fell just outside the threshold for that. A little rephrasing or a little more zoom-in focus on a specific aspect of your "fixed" constitution in a clear worldbuilding context, and it should be fine. Hope that helps!

Please feel free to PM me if you have any further questions!
