I decided I wanted to be able to play games on the sofa with a controller, and also have something to play movies and stream the usual Netflix / Prime / Hulu stuff.
It's working out really, really well so far. To give you an idea of its gaming capabilities, I'm rocking Shadows of Mordor at high settings with 60fps at 720p (I literally cannot see the difference between 1080 and 720 with the size of my TV and the distance I sit away from it).
Been ripping movies to the harddrive with WinxDVD Ripper and it's way easier than I thought it'd be. The processor is overclocked to 4.2ghz and seems quite stable. A 20m stress test maxed the temp at 80c but it was mostly in the mid to high 70's which I'm perfectly comfortable with.
Not bad for a little over 600 bucks!
