Is this build viable and hood for starting steel path at least

Every time I see Abundant Mutation in someones Nidus I want to know what people think this Augement achieves. Wanna tell me?

All I see is 30 seconds Cooldown added on his passive. A passive that can and will keep you alive in steel path without any defensive mods at all, thanks to the abnormal amount of enemies. They cant kill you as fast as you build up stacks in those five seconds. They can kill you if Undying is on a forced Cooldown you chose to put on your frame.

Duration is not something you usually want to run, because of Larva. If you play Nidus for some time you will notice that Larva every now and then gets enemies stuck somewhere. You will have to hunt those down, or wait for the duration to finish until you can recast Larva.

You dont have Hunter Adrenaline/Rage, or Flow in your build either. One, or the other are enough. Missing a single Virulence might screw you without neither of them.

Range scales wonderfully with Nidus. Having two or more Range mods on him makes Larva turn into something else. You can place it on a large rooms ceiling and it will bundle up every enemy in the room for you. Nidus usually excels at Survival and Disruption. With alot of Range Defense, mdef, Excav, Hijack, Interceptions, and even Exterminate are comfortable to run.

Swapping out Intensify and Vit for their Umbral parts, once available, should be a given.

If you wanna run an Augment, get Teeming Virulence. Its absolute overkill, but its an actually good Augment.

We can also talk a bit about subsumes. His four and three are prime targets. While they both benefit his set, they are not vital to it. Breach Surge adds more damage than any of the two. Resonator makes defense type missions even easier. If you think about subsuming his Link, adding Primed Sure Footed to the Exilus will help with knockdowns. That being said, subsumes are more of a fun side project on Nidus. Nothing will majorly improve his kit.
