Building a god. Vampire the Masquerade: World of Darkness

Firstly, unless you're actually building Set the Egyptian God, the preferred adjective for Followers of Set is Setite, precisely to avoid that confusion. I'll be working under the idea that you want to build a 4th Gen Setite.

There are two sides to Setites that appear to be in conflict at first sight. On the one hand you have this sort of hedonistic, wish-fulfillment, lusty/greedy/gluttonous being who wants to have people dependent on him.

But on the other hand you have a diehard religious zealot who is trying to wake up a deity to devour the sun in a society that thinks you're fucking insane for doing so.

It's the interplay of these two that makes Setites interesting. "Hey, kid, wanna buy some apocalypse?" isn't exactly the route you want to go. I'd say be almost ingratiating at first. Have the power dynamic shift slowly in your favour. You're not Cam, which means you can operate outside of the rules of the Cam, and simply eat anyone who disagrees. Your power needs to be subtle, you want people to want the pleasure you offer, and to see you as an asset, if not ally.
