Bunch of sad logic on a post

One of the comments I saw was someone saying that because him and his wife have 2 kids and they only sleep 3 hours a day, that there is just no way they could do the same thing. Also included that he couldn't run because he needed to keep his sanity.

Running in the grand scheme of things isn't going to make you thin but it will certainly give you more energy throughout your day. I'm a single father, I work 40-60 hours a week depending on mandatory overtime, I run 3 days a week, and I lift 6 days a week. It's certainly possible.

But the excuses these people make to downplay this woman's hard work are incredible. "We only sleep 3 hours a night" Absolute bull shit. "I'm just too tired to do anything at the end of the day." Who would have thought eating tubs of ice cream doesn't give you the same energy you would have if you were active.

And then people replying with nonsense like "I bet every person who downvoted this person doesn't have children or empathy." No, we are just getting really tired of hearing you blame everyone else and society for your poor choices.

It's pretty insulting that the hours I put into fitness every week are just treated as if "I'm so lucky" or "it will catch up to you one day" or I used to be thin like you." Fuck right off with that logic. I've been listening to it every year since I was 13. Every time they just pushed back the calendar on when I would get fat. "Oh, you'll see when you turn 18" or "It'll get you around your mid 20's" or "just wait till your 30".

It's depressing how many of those comments I saw on a post about a woman who gained far too much pregnancy weight but had the determination to change it. It's even more shameful that they use their kids as an excuse to just sit on the couch. Instill in your children an active lifestyle. Show them exercise is fun and they will continue through their adolescence and into adult hood. The only thing I think I am very fortunate for is my parents both being fitness gurus who taught me early on in life how important it is.
