If I didn't already have all these games, I would be all over this. I was able to pickup FONV for $4.50 a couple of years ago on Amazon, specifically because of a deal posted to this sub. (That was the lowest price I've seen and haven't seen it drop that low since.)

For those who haven't played Fallout or Fallout 2, $2.50 is a great price. With a couple of mods, you can play full screen.

I believe I have Fallout_Fixt_alpha-7 and Fallout1_High_Resolution_Patch_4.1.8 with Zoom V1.0 installed for Fallout.

I believe I have the unofficialFO2patch and Fallout2_High_Resolution_Patch_4.1.8 installed for Fallout 2.

(Although it's been some time since I've tinkered with installing either game and I might be mistaken.)

Both the Fallout classics have held up surprisingly well and are still among the best in the series. If you enjoyed the gameplay and story style of FONV, chances are pretty good that you will love the classic Fallouts, despite being turn-based and isometric.

One caveat is that in both games, the opening tutorial will do everything it can to dissuade you from playing. It's a trick! Once you get past the opening tutorials in either game, you will be swept up in the story and subsequent adventures! Do not give up. Learn how to use turn-based movement to your advantage and you will likely be fine for the rest of the game.
