The Burden of Leadership

Not army I’m here from r/new. Some good literature on leadership would be helpful imo. Being a leader is something that needs to be practiced and shaped, trained if you will. John Maxwell is a civilian pastor and leadership coach. Excellent books and lectures. He’s even lectured at West Point. The Challenge of Command is an excellent book. And my personal favorites, strangely enough are fiction sci-fi novels. Starship Troopers and Ender’s Game. Although they are fictional stories, their respective authors held great insight into how one should approach the challenges of leadership. Starship Troopers is often referred to as the Art of War for the 20th century. Ender’s Game shows how a child out smarts his way into command and leads an entire fleet to victory. Hope this helps. Godspeed.
