Burger-flipping robot will grill meat in 50 fast food restaurants

Because its really not all that bad (I'm the person who you're responding to, not some random person injecting my opinion into this). It's not as bad as people demanding 15 bucks an hour because "it's such a hard job" make it out to be. It's not meant to be a career, it's a job meant for high school kids and early 20 year olds... you have fun flirting with your co workers, partying afterwards. When you're young working in fast food... it's a bunch of young people hanging out at work, dating, messing around during breaks and after their shift... the guys would be working the food stations and dirty jobs, they'd be trying to get with the female drive thru workers... it's half work, half fun. It's a part time job, unless you get into management (you can make 50k in a working class city where that's in the high end of pay for the area). The problem is, now these people marching and demanding 15 bucks an hour because fast food is a hard career and horrible... if you've been there 15 years and can't get a management position... maybe you're not such a great addition to the workforce and should consider yourself lucky you have a job.

You make that comment like BK/fast food just destroys your will to live (I'm not trying to sound argumentative... I know I do but this isn't meant that way) that goes against the whole principle of fast food jobs. You're supposed to work there for a couple months/a year and then graduate high school and move on. You're not supposed to get to the point where the empathy is whipped out of you. If you do, you're management and you're making good money. The problem is when you have BK career people whining about how hard it is and you can't make a living wage... no fucking shit... you're supposed to move on to a real job before you get to that point

Sorry. I live in New York state and all this whining about how hard it is to become rich working fast food so we need to pay them 15 bucks an hour is a crock of shit. You're not supposed to be raising a family dropping fries into a fryer at BK. The starting wage now rivals an EMT worker because they successfully lobbied the NYS senate about how hard their jobs are. You're not supposed to even be working there as a 40 year old. You're not supposed to get burnt out dropping fries. They should have some empathy. It shouldn't be whipped out of them
