Burnt out, constantly criticized, and mentally and physically exhausted.

I’ve been in the field for 4 years. Some jobs have been better than others. Even after relatively “good” experiences, it’s honestly hard to say it’s all worth it. You can’t earn a living wage, there’s so much room for BS and people’s personal opinions to muddy the waters, especially when it comes to judging staff performance. #overit And don’t even get me started on how insane it feels trying to teach the same skills for years with no progress and no practical point of saying THIS ISNT GOING TO CHANGE. I think this field is incredibly limited by how little we acknowledge the genetic component of some of what may be going on. And many kids I’ve seen have had the most progress with medication rather than how perfectly anyone ever prompted, shaped, reinforced a d*mn thing,
