Why do bus drivers here think they can blow past stops when they're 5-10 minutes early? Like jeez thanks for making me late when I got to the stop before the scheduled time

They've definitely gotten worse the last couple years. I used to take the bus to/from work every day for 4 years prior to covid and never had an issue. I've missed the bus so many times in the last year because they're so inconsistent, even following on NextRide.

I was on time for my bus this morning and it was running a couple minutes late. It flew right past me because the driver was too busy looking at police who had pulled someone over, then blew through a late yellow light. I was choked.

Thankfully my partner didn't need our car today and I live a minute away from the stop so I was able to drive in and get to work on time but still. It's incredibly frustrating given how much passes cost when it's not even a reliable form of transportation most of the time these days.
