Bushcraft equivalent of mall ninja and the ever present gear snob.

you should get the best you can afford, but sometimes thats a bahco, a mora, and a fiskars

I've been posting in this community for years now and doing hiking, camping, and bushcraft for decades. I have a bunch of high-quality stuff and I can afford decent gear if I want it. However, I literally take a Fiskars axe (€50, bought 15 years ago) and a Mora knife (€10) with me not because they are cheap, but because they are good quality, long-lasting, and provide amazing value for money.

Using them as examples of crappy items that only people on a budget should be using is utterly disingenuous. You should use the most appropriate tool for the job and ideally at a good cost-to-quality ratio (otherwise you're just paying for the branding). Calling out decent gear as "budget" is just you unwittingly showing your bias.
