Can someone actually explain why white people can’t do/participate in anything a black person (apparently) invented? Even putting aside the argument that they probably didnt and it’s at the very least uncertain? You can’t just say ‘cultural appropriation: bad’ and justify such an innocuous thing such as wearing your hair a certain way… what’s next? White guys can’t wear yellow shirts? … and like it’s only a rule for white people because of oppression and power dynamic right? I’m just trying to figure out what the rules are here.. because I mean a white person invented basketball lol so what up. Are we really just drawing a line in the sand here and saying we’ll do are stuff and y’all do yours?
