1. Tinder is many things; it can be used for hooking up, casual dating, and serious dating. But it started as a hook-up app and still has that connotation. I have used and still use it in all three ways.

1. Because of 1, “DTF” is common on the app—and it doesn’t connote any disrespect; it’s simply a frank way of asking whether a person is down to hook up. It works. If it truly offends you, I’d advise you to stop using Tinder. Bumble is much better for what you're looking for.

1. I don’t know you; you could be a great person for all I know; everyone has had a bad day and lashed out. The reason I posted this is because (a) it’s funny: your reaction was wildly exaggerated; and (b) I want to teach you a lesson: you should be more careful with your words: if I were a psychologically impaired person, I could have harmed myself due to what you said; fortunately, I’ve been bullied all my life and I have a very thick skin by now.
