"The left doesn't want to [achieve a goal] using the intended ... process" is how everything is these days. Supreme Court doesn't go their way? Pack it. Continue to write laws in clear violation of SCOTUS rulings. Attempt assassinating justices. Try to intimidate the justices to change their opinion. Can't get unpopular legislation passed? Nuke the filibuster.

Many people, especially those on the left, have forgotten that we are states first, federal second. The States are incubators of liberty, trying out new legislation and policy to see if it works, and if it does, become evidence to convince others of how good the policy is and then adopt it at a federal scale. If it doesn't get adopted federally, then it's up to people who want the policy to move to where it's in effect.
