I'm sorry you got downvoted. You had a good point, and it was well worth discussing. The idea that events chain together is very real. The fact that social media could be good feel alien and subversive to me.

I was dismissive of your example video because it was from Nike. But, you, I and others could commend Nike and point out our displeasure at their slavery-like practices.

Instead, you got down-voted even though you had a great point, and I was caught up in winning the argument rather than listening and digesting your point.

My first thought was "Fuck this sympathizer." But, then I thought that you probably have the same social concerns as me. But, this piece ad, documentary, or whatever you call it aggravated me. Nonetheless, I think we wanted the same thing: kindness.

I just want to apologize that I didn't integrate what you had to say. I just rejected it and rode the 8 or 9 upvote wave. But, I should have spent a moment to weigh your thoughts and effort in commenting, appreciated them, and integrated them.

Never buy Nike. They virtually enslave people to sell shoes to African Americans. That is just the grossest irony I can think of.
