If you didn't do any research, don't run your mouth and pretend to know. If you check out Grimes interviews, she's been talking about this problem of stalkers in her interviews and social media since before Visions era, and it got extremely dangerous (probably even more dangerous than this latest incident) in AA era. During the Visions tour, Grimes was subjected to "kiss rape" by stalkers who broke into the backstage area, something she addressed in interviews. During AA tour, the threats got even more extreme, and the FBI was investigating violent threats against Grimes. Grimes was even forced off stage during her performance at a show opening for Florence at Barclays Center in NYC in June 2016, after being informed of the threats. Due to pursuing legal actions against the Barclays stalker (who was eventually subjected to limits on their physical movements and internet access, but wasn't jailed), she was unable to talk publicly about what happened until over a year later.

In fact, the only time Grimes has ever mentioned this subreddit is when a fan on this sub speculated on Grimes's health after she ran off stage, saying she had a "panic attack," speculation that proved to be incorrect, but not before it was picked up by various music news outlets. While that fan meant well, their speculation being printed as fact made Grimes extremely angry because in reality, she was not having a mental health issue but evading an imminent threat from a violent stan. She isn't a fan of redditors making speculations.
