This superbeing has minions that resemble demons too. They are just fear based self-serving creatures unable to resist temptations to serve themselves at the expense of others. The same pattern of temptation is used against humans, who resist it better due to their empathy. It's what the legends of an adversary of God came from. It had been in control of this planet secretly for thousands of years, keeping benevolent ETs from landing and making contact. They'd be inclined to inform us of this parasitic superbeing.
