I’m so sorry to hear that. I’ve been home from work since Tuesday with what feels like a regular cold - the type of cold you would normally take a day or two off from work and then power through the rest - but I’m not allowed to return until my COVID test results come back. I went as soon as I could, but I’m still waiting so I could potentially lose the entire rest of this week even if I test negative. I understand why - I was exposed in my classroom at the end of last week on top of being symptomatic. But I have been trying to save my days for maternity leave, so I’m frustrated the additional COVID-related paid sick leave expired on 9/30. Hang in there.
