1: I am against them due to the need to improve public schools over private schools.
2: I agree with school vouchers. Where one lives should not determine where they go to school if they are smart enough or talented enough to go to better schools.
3: A small part, however they should not be the only part of major part as they have been shown to not delinquently track student preference. So why should we pay teachers based on the scores if they are useless?
4: I am wholly against social promotion.
5: It is good in some cases, due to controversial issue or in some places things that go against the areas or administrations opinion. However it also allows some poor teachers to remain teaching.
6: It depends wholeheartedly in the area. For example where I formerly lived in and went to school in (MA), the pay was a lot less then it should of been given the area (medium sized city).
7: When I have had more time to properly study what she has done, I will answer your question.
8: While the bill does a good job at addressing the budget issues in schools, it does not address the underlying issues. The districts that will get a lot of the funding need funding for things like school repair, classroom materials and other, non academic things. The larger schools (which are more funded) have more children, so they will get more money. The poorer schools, with fewer students (and less of a budget) will get less money. Thus, the cycle continues.
9: I do not agree with them. They are expensive, look horrible and they are just an issue that people should not have to deal with
10: Federally funded Kindergarten is a great idea. In theory. However in practice, it does not provide any meaningful advantage and costs way too much. It needs reform to make it a worthwhile program. However, if no improvements can be made, I will cut it.
11: Your pledging allegiance to your country. Its very weird to me a foreigner. Its semi-fascist to me, especially as until the 1940s you did the Ballemy Salute, which is the same as the Hitler Salute. I heavily disagree with it being said in school.
12: Since it goes against the separation of church and state, I disagree with prayer in school.
13: If possible, I would like to try and find a way to lower it. However, that is unlikely to happen.
