As much as everyone here loves hating on Gary, he seems like he actually wants reform. This sub is very much our worst enemy in this respect. Instead of actually commenting on SEC proposals, some ppl are just making porn jokes or accusing him of being a Goldman Sachs stooge. This article is certainly worrying, as is the fact that Ken griffin has been massively donating to GOP candidates this election cycle. I’ll probably get roasted for saying this but the ‘both sides are the same’ mentality isn’t really the case and imo simply serves to silence talk about this subject. Simply look at the where the VAST majority of the political donations from hedge funds and other big financial entities has been going.
