Calgary broadcasters and writers should stop calling Czechia The Czech Republic

What I'm saying is that no one cares about what you have to say about this issue if you don't have a personal stake in it, we don't know you (you don't really post here), and no one that we do care about has a personal stake in it.

You've basically stated a fact and everyone has said "Yup, ok bud.", but are pestering everyone here as those we're required to acquiesce or offer apologies to you or give you some sort of recognition in the form of guilt or a feeling low-key mortification that we're using a far-too-formal version of a country's name. Do you not see how that's a bit much?

The post is basically off topic for this sub at this point, and the way you're talking to everyone (in a needlessly holier-than-thou manner, demanding we all feel sorry, citing Reddit rules rather than engaging with people in a humanistic way) is making you look like a right troll. Not saying you are, just saying it's not helping.

It's obvious that you're passionate about this issue. It's good to be passionate about things. But the thing you're looking to change takes time--most people aren't reading edicts from the Czech government in their spare time, let alone ones like this.

If this change is to take place, it will take a long time. There are a lot more pressing things happening in Calgary, in the English speaking world, and heck, even on the Calgary Flames and on this sub, than this.

Visibility would help. That's why I said Jagr and Fro should say something.
