Calgary Catholic School District will require masks when classes resume

I feel the risk of covid is heavily outweighed by the impact wearing a mask to school all day has for this age group. Maybe I'm biased because I just watched my kid go through kindergarten wearing a mask every day and being sad about having to put it on every day. Him being speech delayed and socially delayed, he is being given little chance to catch up in his mask filled world. Sure at age 9 or 10 maybe it would be a little different, but these little kids having to wear them all day at 6,7,8 when the risk of a severe outcome is next to nothing?? No way.

All this said, I am 100% pro-vax, not against wearing a mask in stores or whatever, but this is just different IMO.
