Why calibrate for broadcast instead of calibrating for iphones?

Why do I have to be an apple hater? I have owned every apple iPhone from Gen1 to the 5s when I switched to Android. Am I sensing an iPhone brainwashed fan boy? Maybe not, maybe you just like drinking apple's kool-aid.

So about you obscure article off that Jenky website... Hmmmm, yeah I don't think so. First of all, nowhere in that article does the author actually say that the iPhone xs Max it's better than the Pixel 3 or the Samsung. I actually went digging for some specs and every website I came across listed the Pixel 3 as having a higher screen resolution. Granted both the iphone and the XL are Oleds, so I'm guessing the color accuracy difference is negligible, I will point out that with respect to this post and calibrating to an iPhone because so many people have them, well most people aren't buying the $1,100 model which is $200 more than the Google Pixel 3 which is a far superior phone "all around". As far as benchmarks go, from what I understand, Google doesn't slow their phones down or wear it the batteries when they launch new models, hmmmmm.

I like nice things, I like electronics and devices that are well built and offer the best features regardless of brand. The iPhone is no longer the best mobile phone on the market and hasn't been for quite some time.

BTW...Although I didn't see the Google Pixel 3 mentioned in the article you posted, I did find another article on that site that was all about the Google Pixel 3 which stated :

"Based on our extensive Lab Tests and Measurements the display on the Google Pixel 3 XL delivers uniformly consistent all around Top Tier Display Performance and receives Very Good to Excellent Ratings in All of the DisplayMate Lab Test and Measurement Categories. The Pixel 3 XL is only the third display we have ever tested to do so, and receives our highest ever Overall Display Assessment Grade of A+ together with a DisplayMate Best Smartphone Display Award. Google has improved the on-screen Absolute Picture Quality and Absolute Color Accuracy of their displays by implementing Precision Factory Display Calibration, moving the overall Pixel 3 XLdisplay performance up to Record Setting Outstanding levels, and setting or matching a number of Display Performance Records, including Absolute Color Accuracy that is Visually Indistinguishable From Perfect. This demonstrates that Google recognizes the importance of Display Excellence and has made a major commitment to improving Smartphone Display Performance."
