Well keep in mind that when you work from home you wind up mixing your home life and your work life A LOT.

Cautionary tale: My dad was one of the early "Work from home" tech division for a large multi national. Now much of what he did still meant he had an office he needed to go to fairly regularly. But most of his actual work was done remotely monitoring code from home.

HE WAS ALWAYS ON CALL.

He never had time for anything because working from home meant his managers just

A) Gave him extra work cause "he doesn't need to come in and can do it from home."

and,

B) They would change his schedule at a whim. One week he would have to be online through the night with because there was some deploy going on in India. The next week he was working during the day (local).

This constant shifting sleep schedule took an ENORMOUS tole on his health.

Working from home comes with downsides. And it can ABSOLUTELY effect your family.
