California offering $500 in coronavirus relief to undocumented immigrants

If you didn't get the $600, then you are still employed. If you didn't get the $1200, then you are above the income limit. Now let's look at text from the announcement (my emphasis added):

California’s $75 million Disaster Relief Fund will support undocumented Californians impacted by COVID-19 who are ineligible for unemployment insurance benefits and disaster relief, including the CARES Act, due to their immigration status.

So a one time cash benefit of $500 (much less than $1200 or a weekly payment of $600) will be given to people who would otherwise qualify for those programs. Programs that you did not qualify for.

I don't know your situation. Perhaps you have been affected in a way that doesn't show up by the metrics of you still being employed with a $75k/year or higher job. And I certainly hope that there are programs available that can specifically help you. However undocumented persons certainly are not getting preferential treatment, as there's no way that they are receiving more than a US citizen in the same situation.
