[California] Question about furlough ending.

You're not stealing money. What I was getting at is all the people who say, " well I'm going to stay on UI and ignore in be calls for jobs because I make more on it this way." That's what you sounded like. I believe that if they offered the extra $600 to people who are working, then everybody would want to return to work and they would say they have to go out and face COVID for their families financial sake. But just know that if you refuse it and they report it, they will find out. The worded thing you can do is assume they won't, because the EDD knows everything...just like the irs...it may take them some time, but when they get you they'll take it back plus a penalty.
