California’s $15-an-hour minimum wage may spur automation

You did it! You said enough dumb things in such an idiotic and obnoxious manner that I'm going to answer:

Couldn't care less about Reddit or 4chan's rep.

I dont live in an expensive state. I'm from a state where $100 is worth about $85, but now I live in a state where it's worth about $102. But I never complained about the cost of living in my state. If you'll see my other posts, I discussed cost of living in the country.

I wasn't discussing Walmart, but I did bring it up at one point, so ok. Cry me a river about Walmart's razor-thin margins (which, btw, are higher than their competitors). I don't hate Walmart. They're just doing what we've allowed them to do. First, Walmart comes in, puts all the small business owners you just mentioned as being the backbone of our work force, out of business. Who can compete with incredibly cheap chinese goods and margins at 3.5%? Fuck. (How about a business like Amazon that runs at a loss. You gotta feel bad for the Walton family and Jeff Bezos; they're only worth billions.)

But at least they pay a living wage, right? Oh, wait...Walmart workers have been underpaid and with many on public assistance for decades and Walmart's lobbyists have helped keep wages artificially low for as long. It's only recently Walmart's been forced to raise some of their employees wages...slowly. (Maybe they saved up some cash from all the years they were screwing workers out of full pay? Fingers crossed!) Yeah, it would cut into their profit margins a percentage point to pay all of their workers an additional 3g's a year. That's definitely a big cut...but if your business plan doesn't allow for you to pay your people or buy your raw materials, you need a new business.

You're right! Small business DOES account for quite a bit of America's jobs (IF they haven't been put out of business by Walmart, amirite?) Not sure what point you're trying to make in going on about having to pay taxes and etc, but you're absolutely right. I know because I pay those myself. I also pay my employees a living wage. Guess where that comes from? Yes, from my business! My business pays my workers! Fucking amazing, but yeah that's how it works. I also don't make as much as I could because I pay people better than minimum wage so that I can attract better people.

If you want to talk numbers without fuckinhg shit up so we can see IF THE MATH DOES INDEED ADD UP, get me your books for the last few quarters and I'll get you mine and we'll compare notes. Talk soon.
