Calling all lG Experience Experts

When it comes to us VPLs alot of what we are told is expected of us and what is then actually expected of us are two different things. But your management will really control how good of an experience you have. Some of us have issues with our guidelines being followed, others do not.

You can find the full contract on ETK -> resources -> Vendor-one-stop-shop -> LG Experience -> Home Theater Experience Vendor Provided Labor Execution Guide(or something similar)

In a nutshell. You will have a set schedule of roughtly 40hrs (Probably like 35-38ish to account for some time overages) a week. Two days off, which two depend on which Rep you are. LG has Wed/Thurs off. We normally report to the HT Sup or HT ASM depending on how your store is arranged and beyond them will be your District Magnolia Manager(who is responsible for VPLs and their certifications). You will also get contact information for your LG Vendor contact who will help you with issues, your pad, and making sure things are going ok.

While working, i would say, you are supposed to divote 95% of your attention to your pad, the other 5% towards HT accessories and add-ons. Which are the only things you will get credit for LG branded HT Merch(though LG appliances will count) and anything considered an accessory.

You will also be expected to help out other customers in HT as well. That cant be escaped.

However, according to guidelines you are NOT to: 1. Perform opening or closing duties 2. Respond to Code 1s 3. Help out in other Depts (though if someone wants to buy an LG appliance, I say go for it if its dead in HT...it will at least help your total rev$ if not your VPL Scorecard) 4. Have your hours reduced or your set schedual changed (though their is a slight grace the store is given with that but for the most part it must be followed) 5. Participate in Physical Inventory or Unloading Truck 6. Cover others lunches (mostly directed at covering other Dept lunches)

As for your actual day it can vary based on your stores area and traffic, how helpful your HT coworkers are at Hand offs and not stealing customers from your pad to go to another brand so they dont have to share the sale with you, or outright telling customers Dont buy LG.

I can spend a day where me and my other VPLs dont get a single customer seriously buying from our pads or in the store at all and the dead day just drags on. Other times I get a nice steady stream and have my coworkers splitting and finishing up my sales to cash the customer out while I go help the next customer on my pad.

The goals can seem hard at times but are possible. Then other times there will be no way to reach them cause the traffic isnt there. You just need to make the best of what happens when you are busy to make up those defecits.

All I can say is to do the best you can to meet your goals and survive the dead days.

If their is anything super specific you wanna ask feel free to message me
