Calling out WG's seething hatred of the IJN and their disgusting treatment of IJN fans.

IJN flair, throwaway account plus title

Oh my, another salt post in one day, this is gonna be good. This is likely bait but I'll take it out of giving me a good chuckle.

Let's start with the ships themselves. Despite being exceptionally good ships of their time, IJN ships seem to can't be the best at anything as far as WG is concerned.

Exceptionally good huh? Is that why a large number (Almost every single new Fleet destroyer) of new front line ships had to be rebuilt due to serious hull/superstructure damage after the Fourth Fleet incident because of top heaviness issues and problems with recent construction methods? Should I bring up the fact IJN CA's had turrets that were armored with 25 mm armor plates? What about the volatile long lances placed on every ship possible?

I'm not writing IJN ships off as complete trite as ships of every nation had their problems, they aren't Kriegsmarine ships after all however, calling them exceptional is pure wank.

Torpedoes? Even the Americans with historically laughable torpedoes are better torpboats than IJN Destroyers

If you want to open up the can of worms called "Historically accuracy", the Axis is gonna have a bad time in WOWS.

For some reason, WG never gave her DFAA (excusing that her high base AA was already part of her design)

Akizuki pumping out the best long range AA DPS at Tier VIII not real.

Akizuki was designed specifically to be an anti-air destroyer. That was her purpose. Somehow, WG decided to give a mass-produced DD converted to an AA role even more effective AA and calls it "fair".

Akizuki

  • 83.2 DPS at 5 km (DFAA = 249.6 DPS)

  • 75.1 DPS at 3 km (DFAA = 225.3 DPS)

Kidd

  • 53.5 DPS at 5 km (DFAA = 160.5)

  • 65.7 DPS at 3.5 km (DFAA = 197.1 DPS)

  • 36.6 DPS at 2.0 km

With DFAA plus all of the AA buffs applied, Akizuki would have laughably overpowered AA capacity. Kidd is bad enough however, since USN AA was just all around better than IJN guns (Better weapons and guidance systems) it makes sense for Kidd who is refitted as an AA focused DD to actually have good AA.

Then there's the Yamato class ships. Musashi and Yamato were the most powerful battleships ever built. Period. Both were designed to be able to take on any single battleship ever built and win without a scratch. It can be argued that both were futureproofed so that they would hold their own against other nations' battleships even two generations after them.

That is true, they were indeed the most powerful battleships built by pure armor thickness and gun caliber. I hope they could take on any other battleship, they were 20,000 tons heavier than any other BB built during WWII. Without a scratch? That's extremely questionable due to the nature of BB combat. Future proofed for generations? The Montana's design was finalized and the ships were ordered in 1942, so I guess that doesn't exactly work anymore. If they would have been built, the Montana's would have usurped the most powerful battleship mantle from Yamato.

I'm not even going to cover the rest of this because it'll be as useful as pissing into the wind or copy pasting from the search bar, since the topics been beat to death.

The tears, fake or not, still taste good though.
