I've once tried talking back before. But its not always simple. Especially if the other person is good at thinking quick. There's no chance you could do anything if that was the case. If red shirt kid isn't a bully, might not be good at making comebacks. Plus it could become harder if multiple people are going against you. Also, if your not even a good fighter or aren't strong, then you would never win against the bully. I guess you could say that he shouldn't be starting fights anyway if you cant fight, but that also solves nothing and you're in an endless loop of being bullied by someone.

Anyway, I think my point was missed. I'm not trying to say Red shirt kid should have hit him with a desk, I was trying to say he deserved it because bullies wont ever stop.
