CALPIRG, really??

A number kept calling me 3 times the other day and each time I declined it. I finally gave in and picked up the 4th time and it was CALPRIG. The guy didn’t even give me a chance to say I don’t want any more of their calls. He just kept talking immediately after I picked up the phone for damn near 5 whole minutes and I was in the middle of doing something too. What am I supposed to do? Hang up in the middle of him talking?? When he was done talking I told him to take me off the list and he sounded so mad. I’m sorry this is a bit of a rant but I’m glad I’m not the only one annoyed with these relentless weekly calls. They really won’t stop calling you until you pick up.
