Came from California to audition from the national tour, got dismissed after 8 hours, so my mom bought me a ticket to see the show instead. Amazing!

I definitely see where you are coming from but OP knowingly took this gamble. I don’t think it’s disrespectful, especially when they provide the disclaimer (and I have not looked at this specific casting call, but rarely do I see one without) that non-eq folks will only be seen time permitting. Often, those calls will say something to the effect of “we expect to see everyone regardless of union status.” As a non-union actor myself, I don’t usually even bother with auditions that don’t mention that part specifically.

Again, not to knock OP, but we all knew the Hadestown national tour would have flocks of people from all over coming to audition. I’m very glad she was able to make a happy experience out of a disappointing one, but not getting seen as a non-union performer who was only avail labor to attend one of multiple dates at this call was very much an expected outcome.
