I’m going to probably get downvoted, but I’ve had a bad experience here so far and I’ve been here 3 years. I notice even simple things like people don’t say hi to one another as you walk through a neighborhood, I’ve met people that didn’t like me because I wasn’t originally from Wisconsin and my idea of fun wasn’t going to a bar to talk about the good ole days of college. And I’ve felt some people in my age group (26) tend to act very fake and try to push a label of what you have to be to live in Madison. I love the state of Wisconsin, but Madison proper has left a bad taste in my mouth. Granted I know not everyone is like that, but I’ve had some extremely negative experiences here that make me not love it like I envisioned I would when I moved here.
