Can anyone give me advice on how to start controlling my T1 Diabetes?

Can't tell from your brief paragraph what your habits are. Are you saying you're too high? Too low? Too roller coaster up and down?

In general, the solutions are:

Eat better food -- less high-carb, low nutrition, process junk. More real food that doesn't come in crinkly bags. Don't over eat. You can chuck out the bread, and order side salads instead of french fries. If you eat cereal and pizza crust, do you really need to?

Be active -- Physical activity stimulates your muscles to soak up more of the glucose, and probably to be more sensitive to insulin. You may go up some during a workout, or down. You just have to monitor.

Test frequently -- At least 4 times a day to get a decent overview. More often if you are having difficulty or unpredictability.

Medicate properly -- What are you using? Each of the insulins has a delay between when it kicks in, when it may peak, and how long it remains active. Some of the "once a day" insulins don't actually last that long, so people may split their dose for full coverage. Do you have a general sense of how much a unit of rapid acting might drop your glucose, and how long it takes to start?

Some people choose to "carb count" and do a "pre bolus" before eating. Other people just try to avoid carbs as much as possible.

Is your medical team helpful? Can you go to your doctor or endo and feel like they are not judging, and that they give you helpful advice? Are you able to communicate with them as needed and in a meaningful way? If not, are you able to do your own experiments and tests -- to be more self-reliant?

Keep a journal -- Doesn't have to be too elaborate: time | food | medication | glucose reading

Look for patterns. Adjust as needed. Maybe learn to titrate by adjusting with small doses, so you can figure out better how much you need.
