Can you have Aspergers without an adherence to routine?

This stuff is all on a spectrum and also presents differently.

Me for example I am quirky but socially capable (learned, not natural)... but I struggle horribly with anything outside known rules, expectations, promises/inferred agreements, etc. For me it's not routine as such, so much as a need for whatever-it-is to not break a known structure.

I can even be spontaneous, no problems at all, AS LONG AS that doesn't break existing plans.

I can have an empty day, no problems.

I can have an empty (unplanned day) day that spontaneously becoming a coffee outing, then spontaneously becoming a night away, great!

But if you TELL ME we are having a quiet day at home then try try change it outside the expectation you've set, I'll lose the plot.
