Can atheists be moral? A quick overview of moral realism & moral anti-realism, including divine command theory & error theory.

What's wrong with god being a dictator? I don't see the issue honestly if i'm a worshiper of god and he tells me to kill in his name then it is my responsibility as a worshiper to prove my faith in his commands. Anyways I know there are some religions out there which are destructive because they follow this principle. However, when you begin to realize anything which is destructive will eventually implode on itself and cease to exist. Criminals, murderers, violent animals etc... all these dangers to life are dealt with accordingly by nature. If a religion is so dangerous that it is a huge threat to life than it will be eradicated. Some Muslims I'm honestly NOT educated enough to be saying this . well their religion has said that they should blow themselves up in jihad However from what i gather this is actually wrong and these destructive groups are being pushed away from society, people in the middle east are beginning to realize that they are not helping their cause or way of life and therefore are being shunned. Anyways my point being is let these people believe in whatever they want whether they truly believe morality is connected to a divinity or not doesn't matter because morality is a method to which will ensure the survival of your species. A society destructive in nature will not last long. Therefore, if a personas moral compass is in the darker regions of morality you may not see this person last very long. That's how I see maybe why morality exist in the first place, it is a tool to keep the people in check with LAWS and obviously some people have better morals than others but this is something where people who agree come together and make that decision.
