Can we have a discussion about race relations in San Diego? [Serious things are happening in my neighborhood]

Yes and the white community isn't the only one to blame, as I mentioned in my post, other groups are guilty of this self-imposed segregation. I have found the natives to be very kind but what exactly do they define as "common local lifestyle"?

Every city has a culture and deserves to have one, but excluding other from the same identity is upsetting. We all don't have sandy blond hair, surf, smoke marijuana, drink fancy bear, are non-religious, middle class, on the political binary, tan, etc. The minority groups in San Diego are not just Asian and Hispanic. The second language of San Diego should not be classified as just Spanish.

It's hard telling people these things and seeing the tiny minority group have their problems dismissed. Technically racism isn't in our laws, but what about our everyday lives? I am sick and tired of blacks being harassed at asian owned stores and to see asian students be physically abused by their parents for poor grades but teachers dismiss it because it's normal for asian parents to be harsh on their chidlren. I'm tired of people assuming I speak Spanish just because I speak a language other than English.

I have been in a serious depression because of these things and thank God for my church because they are the only ones who have saved me from the pain and guilt. I often think to myself "who am I to tell these perfect white people to accept me". I feel inferior, my home country is poor and always in the news for negative things, and I can't even be amongst my own people due to my religion and sexuality.

I feel like I'm lost in a strangers land but it hurts more because I get to see the larger minority groups get representation while pushing the rest of us down.
