Can we have a discussion about the Western Asians - International Asians divide?

Teased? Yes. Hate? Like deliberately making their lives miserable? Haven't seen it myself.

I had one date with a Chinese girl from Guangzhou years ago. We're in a busy sit down restraunt talking and stumbled upon the topic of gun ownership in America. I told her I can legally carry but don't. She doesn't believe me, proceeds to make stand up, and begins patting me down in front of everyone. I flushed red, bystanders chuckle. It's hard minding your own business when this happens.

I didn't process how different we were until hearing a Hong Konger's perspective of Chinese mainlanders in a podcast (This American Life episode 686). Ya think the issue goes a little deeper than just being a FOB?
