Can I earn money by rotmg?

Ha. Aha. Ha.

Let's do some meth, shall we?

To be optimistic, let's use HeroMax's 30-Minute Abyss Speed Farming test; this is probably what you will be looking at if you're soloing abysses. Bmll's run had friends looking for abysses while he was running them; unless you own slaves, your guildies may not always want to be abyss hunting for you.

HeroMax is able to complete 15 abysses in the course of ~30 minutes so let's assume 15 defence and vitality potions.

For simplicity sake, we'll assume that 2 vitality equals 1 defence potion.

(15 defence2) + (7.5 defence2) = 45 defence.

This makes a grand total of 45 defence potions an hour.

Going to your nearest, friendly RWT website, you'll find that defence potions are worth around $0.20; this value will definitely be less since you are probably gonna sell on /r/RotMGTradingPost

As a result, with 45 defence potions/hour at $0.20 a potion, you will be making a grand total of $9.00/hr.

This number assumes, however, that you will be speed running abysses and to maintain that level of concentration for extended periods of time is difficult. This also doesn't include the time that it takes to sell the actual potions, mule/vault, trade vitality for defence etc.

There is another possibility; tombs. This either requires that you have keys or you must buy them. 10 minute tomb runs is probably the median time for a three-person run (which is also the ideal group size). Assuming that everyone chips in a life and everyone gets 2/3, you end up with 1 life per tomb; 6 life per hour.

Going to another RWT site, a single life potion is worth approximately $0.70. This means you'll be making a grand total of $4.2/hr. If you convert to defence, you could have (6*8=48) 48 defence potions per hour but you will still only be making $9.6/hr.

TL;DR: RWT isn't worth.
