Can I gain muscles working out in a pool? Which exercises should I do?

Well that goes for a bodybuilding physique as well. Like you said it takes hard work. No matter what, if you want a good physique its gonna take a lot of hard work, learning, eating right, and in the case of swimmers, swimming.

I'm not even a swimmer. Im into powerlifting and bodybuilding styles of lifting. I would say that if you want a good muscular physique you gotta lift weights. And eat right. If you wanna build a small amount of muscle and swim then do it. It's a healthy way to build muscle. It's only gonna get you so far obviously. I mean you're propelling you body weight through water. That will build some muscle. Not gonna be Arnold.

Eating right is gonna be in the equation no matter which you do. It all comes down to your personal goals.
