Live in a developing (?) country with 1st world salary. Services are spotty, federal/state/local govt are a mess, corruption is awful at the highest level but local seems okay in my area. Healthcare is a zoo and depending on circumstances can eat up a ton of income. Roads are mostly good, housing is good but unaffordable in areas. There are occasional demonstrations on the streets with violent armed right wing gangs. Police can be effective if you’re of the right race and in the right areas but are notoriously violent. Drug laws are antiquated and we have a very high level of imprisonment especially of some races.
