Let's exclude murder I guess I did somewhat intentionally make it seem more nefarious. But going down the list of wrong doings from murder they certainly happen. I know prison isn't exactly the comparison you'd think for a shelter, but unfortunately many women in a shelter are leaving behind garbage human beings. Either already been jailed or hopefully soon to be. So unsavoury people who so unsavoury things. In the woman's shelter you have battered beaten and bruised who may not take too well to someone who doesn't pass. I'm not saying that's going to happen the real solution is trans acceptance, but that's not happening immediately. A tansman has a higher chance of being sexually assaulted in a men's shelter. I don't mean to be morbid but I guess it's like that everywhere in general though, since trans folk are statistically more likely to be the victim of assault (all forms).

The worst part is your last sentence is what I am and am not saying. Low key I don't think they should because they are faaar more likely to be the victim in this scenario. Even in a shelter. They'd need shelter the most but at the same time it could be dangerous. But hey if no one's looking at your genitals fuck it go wherever you're comfortable. I'd just suggest that when you're in a vulnerable position as to need a shelter that you find the safest place possible. A place is better than no place.

So I'm kind of straight up not going with my initial comment. You've made me re think me initial comment. At least in a shelter compared to prison you can leave when you want.
